Whilst we recognise the valuable part managed forestry plays to industry, our aim is simple:
to minimize the world’s dependence on virgin wood fibres, by keeping trees in the ground, therefore helping to reduce pressure on a finite resource.
Eucalyptus absorbs 26.9 tonnes of CO2 per hectare
Versus 5.9 per hectare for straw
Annual paper demand set to rise
with virgin pulp accounting for 40% of industrially harvested forest
Projected shortfall of 250million hectares
of managed forest by 2050
Trees take between 50-500 years to grow
Hemp takes 100 days
2.5 billion tonnes of Agricultural Residue available
Currently only 3% of the total pulp market is agricultural
residues or non wood fibre
